Working as a freelance designer and brand consultant, I created weekly advertising campaigns—including print, digital, social media, and SMS ads—as well as environmental graphics and product designs for a cannabis retailer.
Print and Digital Ads
Restrictions on the marketing of Cannabis products provide a challenging set of constraints. No imagery of the actual product is allowed, or any representation of marijuana plants. No cartoons are allowed due to age restrictions, yet I strove for a lighthearted, quirky tone to WoW’s advertising, representing their welcoming, current, and crafted brand personality.
Pandemic Pivots
The COVID-19 Pandemic presented opportunities, in addition to its challenges. I maintained a positive, lighthearted tone in advertising, suggested new merchandise, and met the business’ needs for updated wayfinding and environmental graphics.
